Joseph Lang

Robert Hodges is the great, great grandson of E.C. Hodges who is reputed to have made the first British improved prototype of the Lefaucheux breechloader which was then sold to Joseph Lang. He has tried to verify the story by researching the life and career of Lang who established his business in the 1820s. Finding many inconsistencies in the reference books Robert then decided to write his own book to attempt to separate the facts from the fantasy.

Robert now need your help. He needs to illustrate the guns, pistols, and rifles Lang (and after 1868, his sons) was making. Muzzleloaders, walking stick guns, pinfires and central fire are all of interest. Any gun pictured will be credited and discounted copies of the eventual book will be available on publication for any contributors.
